Absolutely stymied trying to get L-Mint to connect to my Wireless

Well that's the problem in a nutshell. I have an ethernet cable connected to the machine....but when I disconnect it I can't get my wifi to be seen. LinuxMint is beautiful....but tricky. Any help would be most appreciated.

The first step is to identify your wireless device. Run "sudo lspci -v" and "sudo lspci -n". Post the results inside [ code ] ... [ /code ] blocks.

NetworkManager...

Have you installed and configured the the Gnome network manager? What happens if you boot a live-CD/DVD of Mint? Is your wired network found and setup to function, either in Mint as installed or when booting live?
