I have a dell desktop(SuSE Linux 9) with the 3Com 3C905C-TX Fast Etherlink for PCI card. I need to load the 3c905 driver for my 2.6 Linux Kernel build. (2.6.5-7.97-default )
The drivers i got from the Beowulf project (
http://www.scyld.com/network/vortex.html) onlyt supports kernel 2.2 and 2.4 . I cannot get this driver to work, all my attempts to build a loadable modules are failing.
The card works fine with the 3c59x driver but i cannot make it full-duplex / 100 MPS with it so i want to upgrade to the new driver. My switch port supports fullduplex/100Mbps
What is the best approach, what should i do to get this work ?
Can i find a 2.6 kernel online somewhere ?
