10gbs networking

question...so i am upgrading my network to 10 gbs. i got a fancy new network card for my fedora 29 server that has 2 10 gbs ports on it. one for the intranuts and one for the internuts. i am not too experienced with manually configuring the network adapters but i thought the config files were in

Code:
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts
however when i went in there there were none for the new devices. aren't those built automatically or would i have to create them to configure the devices? usually when i go in there it always has the config files and i just have to edit them. the devices are up and running. just to test i plugged one into my network and it pulled a ip from the dhcp so...

Nope, depends on distribution/version etc but it's all configured by network manager versus the network scripts unless it is disabled these days.

so, i started messing around with it and found...

network manager networking

so i went into nmcli and changed the name to something else for the device and it created then a file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts so that is what i was looking for.

thanks michaelk...
