Red face Mint Debian Edition, Apache2 and MythWeb 0.27

Hi all,

I'm considering changing my server from Scientific Linux 6.5 and MythTV 0.26 to Linux Mint Debian Edition 201403 and MythTV 0.27. Due to use of the server I am testing things in a Virtual Box before I go live on the actual server. The problem I currently have is when I view the Mythweb page it is blank except for a link to the same page. I feel there must be something trivial I haven't done but after 2 days I am still none the wiser.

Here is the process I have used to get this far:
  1. Fresh install of Linux Mint Debian Edition 201403
  2. Change mirrors to mirrorservice.org,
  3. Update cache

Code:
$ sudo aptitude install mysql-server
$ sudo aptitude install mythtv-backend mythtv-database
$ mysql -u root -p
Code:
GRANT USAGE ON *.* TO 'mythtv'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY PASSWORD '*CC8F35F587CA5A556B4132C2407E556D92172FFC';
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `mythconverg`.* TO 'mythtv'@'%';
GRANT USAGE ON *.* TO 'mythtv'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY PASSWORD '*CC8F35F587CA5A556B4132C2407E556D92172FFC';
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `mythconverg`.* TO 'mythtv'@'localhost';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
  1. Run mythtv-setup twice to update the schema
Code:
$ sudo aptitude install mythweb

Talking UPDATE 14:33 30th Dec 2014

It was obvious, in the end. I just needed to check the password and start the service.

Code:
$ sudo nano /etc/mythtv/config.xml
Quote:
<Password>mythtv</Password>
Code:
$ sudo service mythtv-backend start
http://127.0.0.1/mythweb/

Everything looks okay so I think everything is working. I just need to find some time when I'm not recording something to install to the server.

Thank you wyliecoyoteuk (http://www.linuxformat.com/forums) and ced117 (irc.quakenet.org/duke4)!
