Linux Mint 11 Bootloader Problem

I recently formated my computer and reinstalled both windows 7 and linux mint 11 . I got windows all set up and then installed linux. the installation went fine but when i start the computer it "says video mode not supported 1440X900 optimum resolution". I heard with this update the startup is more graphical and better overall but now i cant choose between Linux or windows and after about 40 seconds it goes straight to linux . Do i have to change my resolution to make it work or should i downgrade to linux 10
I have run linux mint 10 on this computer before

Hi Bubbadoing, Welcome to LQ. Try adding a vga option to grub.

Good luck. ;-)
