I am running Cinnamon 64bit on a Lenovo T440p with Intel chipset, occasionally it gives no sound, but after sometime of use the sound suddenly comes back, I checked all the settings and see nothing wrong with it, any idea ?
No problem with previous version of Ubuntu with the sound, but the latest 64bit won't even boot up properly so can't be tested, where the 32bit ran smooth but I don't want to 'waste' my new notebook so I install 64bit Mint, and Debian installed no problem but has lot of other problem so I gave it up. The design of this notebook is quite different from the older models, and the touchpad is pain in the neck to use, it seems Mint has the best support on this h/w so I stick with it.
