CASCORE errors

Linux 19.1 works great and up till now no problems-I have been running both Cinnamon and MATE. About a week ago there were some updates that for some reason caused issues with casacore-update-tai_utc errors which I had not seen before. Plus MATE seems to be corrupted now and I will in due time reinstall.

The errors are as follows:
Setting up casacore-data-tai-utc (1.2) ...
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/casacore-update-tai_utc", line 11, in <module>
from casacore import tables
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'casacore'
dpkg: error processing package casacore-data-tai-utc (--configure):
installed casacore-data-tai-utc package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1

dpkg: error processing package crossover:i386 (--configure):
installed crossover:i386 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 127
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of casacore-data:
casacore-data depends on casacore-data-tai-utc; however:
Package casacore-data-tai-utc is not configured yet.

dpkg: error processing package casacore-data (--configure):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.27-3ubuntu1) ...
No apport report written because the error message indicates its a followup error from a previous failure.

Ideas anyone???

looks like a missing package. How did you try to install it at all?

Thanks for the quick response. I believe it is associated with the Stellarium (Astronomy) package that I installed about 6 months ago and then deleted about a month ago. Never had any problems before with Linux (Red Hat, Mint etc) and some of the above errors I believe are now coming from a package called Crossover that supposedly will operate Windows packages on my Linux machine. Turbotax will not work on Wine so I thought to give it a try using Crossover but this is after the Cascore Errors started showing up around the first week in June.. Yesterday I became frustrated with the whole shebang and since my documents are backed up on a separate 2TB hard drive, ran Timeshift which repaired all of the operating system and deleted the Crossover Package and I suppose anything else that was not stored on the 4th of June and I notice that Stellarium has returned as has Mate but none of the these problems seem to have appeared again. I am going to call it completed for the moment and move on.

Thanks again
