[SOLVED] Cant shutdown properly with new motherboard

Hi,
I just purchased a new motherboard Asus H110M-CS.

When I shutdown I get a black screen with a blinking cursor.

$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: LinuxMint
Description: Linux Mint 18.1 Serena
Release: 18.1
Codename: serena

Any ideas ?

Fixed it by adding

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi=force"

to /etc/default/grub

then update-grub.
