2 Panel Setup How To

I had this working, so I know it is possible. But, my LM 19.1 was bloated and slowing down, so did a reinstall; same version, same location, etc.

I need many apps on my panel, so I create a 2nd one and put it at the top of the screen that shows all open windows.

I want all open applications windows to go to the top panel, w/o showing up on the lower panel; the lower panel stays clean with no open windows or previews.

It was working this way before the reinstall. Now I can indeed get the windows to open up on top, but they also open on the lower panel, taking up space or showing previews which I do not want.

I see tons of setup options in edit mode for the panels, but nothing is obvious. Before, I would simply go into edit mode and then drag/drop the lower panel icons into the upper panel and it would work. For some reason, that simply does not work the same way anymore and I can't find the magic setup steps to make it happen.

Ideas? Thanks!

Monty

I haven't used Cinnamon for years. I don't dislike it, but I tend to use either Fluxbox or KDE, with occasional forays into MATE and Enlightenment.

But this article might help: https://www.addictivetips.com/ubuntu...namon-desktop/
