Wireless Problem

Hi,
I am having problems configuring my wireless adapter. Here are some details:

Socket 0:
product info: "SMC", "SMC2835W-V2 Wireless CardBus Adapter", "-", "-"
manfid: 0x01bf, 0x4302
function: 254 ((null))

eth1 NOT READY! ESSID:"default" Nickname:"darkstar"
Mode:Managed Channel:0 Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00
Tx-Power=31 dBm Sensitivity=0/200
Retry min limit:0 RTS thr=0 B Fragment thr=0 B
Encryption keyff
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

It just shows not ready and non of the lights is blinking or on. I have set it to PCIMCI
and to activate when hotplugged, but it doesn't happen.

I am running SuSE 9.2.

Can anyone help please?
Thanks

Looks like the card uses a Prism Frisbee chipset. According to this link, there is a kernel patch that deals with this card: http://prism54.org/pipermail/prism54...ch/001022.html

I suspect that installing the latest Prism54 driver would accomplish the same thing.

What kernel are you using?
Is the module loading correctly?
Have your tried setting the ESSID for the access point? If so, any errors?
