Want to install Linux in very old Notebook

Hello,

I have a very old note book with the following features:

Pentium 3 796MHz
128MB RAM
12GB HDD

Ubuntu ask me for 256MB at least.

I really want to install Linux on this pc because by the moment I dont have anything else.. and I dont know if with this features it is possible to install any friendly Linux distribution, because Im not that very fluent on it. Im worry about the Drivers compatibility, just in case I need an old Linux version.

What do you think guys?

i would suggest puppy or dsl

I once put a bare-bones debian on a pentium2 notebook with no problems,it ran a little slow but it did work!
