USB Error after Linux installation

Dear all powerful community of (Linux) intelligence,

I just installed opensuse 12.1 last night and love it on my laptop. I installed it using a USB after a previous thread shown here

Now that I've installed off the USB, if the USB is not connected I get this error that prevents certain installations and always shows during start-up of programs like Yast.

Empty destination in URI: hd:///?device=/dev/disk/by-id/usb-SanDisk_SanDisk_Cruzer_3110800A60D05E31-0:0-part1

failed to install file: Empty destination in URI: hd:///?device=/dev/disk/by-id/usb-SanDisk_SanDisk_Cruzer_3110800A60D05E31-0:0-part1

naturally I go under the file browser to check out USB files and none are shown.

Here's the tricky part, I don't know the diagnostic of the problem, this means I don't know what I need to do or how to do it. All I know is that I have some file path gone awry as result my installation process doesn't always work and this has something to do with the fact that I installed this OS a flash drive. Any insight or assistance is more than appreciated. And as always...

May the kernel be with you

It looks to me like the USB stick has been set as a repository in YAST. I'm not familiar with OpenSUSE but I would have thought removing the USB stick from the list of repositories would fix this.
