If you install Windows it will overwrite Linux when it formats the disk. I'm assuming that you have one partition on the hard disk.

Question Unistall Fedora Red Hat from Lap Top

Not sure about the partition thing, and don,t know how to find out.
I was trying to learn how to use the os for a course but unfortunately have not had time to get into it.
When I try to install the xp disk the computer:just freezes!

Probably better just format the disk and then try installing Windows.

I'm pretty sure that the XP disk will be able to remove any partitions on the drive and prepare the disk for a Windows install. Haven't done it for a long time so I don't remember off of the top of my head. Google for the answer. I'm sure you'll be able to find out.

Thanks for your help Glennzo, much appreciated. I have downloaded the power suite disc which should assist with the problem.
