I am considering a gateway mt 3705, I have been running ubuntu with kde desktop on an ibm a-21m and am planning on running the same set up. It is time for a newer machine! Does anyone know if the gateway has good hardware compatibility or are there any known issues?
I have not been able to get my sound running either. It seems to be a hardware issue as was the wireless set up. I'll let you know if I make any progress
