Question TV box using with Linux


Hi,

now I want to choose a type of TV box to use on My notebook with Linux OS.

I did not know which product now have Linux driver.Could you help me about this?

what's a TV box? do you mean a tv card? in which case any brooktree 878 based card should be absolutely fine.

TV box is out of computer and Tv card is in computer.

Notebook can not use TV card and must use TV box.

Yeah,lots of TV cards are based on BT 8x8 video chip, but how about TV box? It seemed that no product use BT 8x8, at least I found not
May be some one know it?

It still depends on what you mean by 'TV Box'. If it is TV input into a 'blackbox' and into the computer through a USB cable, then you might like to look at the Hauppage WinTV-USB devices - they seem to be supported under Video4Linux.
