troubles using a docking port with Acer TM630

Hello All,
I am having a weird problem with my notebook when I want to use a docking port.

I am running Suse 9.x and I want to use a docking port to use an external display. And when I do so, I see my desktop nice and clear on the secondary display, but the mouse pointer (R) mouse pointer is not visible on the secondary display. But I do see the pointer on my laptop display. I don't know what am I doing wrong, but anyone who can give me a solution, I will be like extremely grateful to him/her.

Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
Abhinav.
