Question the Exorsisim of Vin Doz Nintee Fifv


Hi folks
perhaps someone can help me... I have an old Toshiba Satellite105cs laptop with an external 4x cd rom reader conected via a panasonic interface card running win 95,...yes saton (mickey soft) has posesesed this little beast and must be exorsised and replaced by Linux. I am having truble because i cant boot from the external and I only have cd versions of Linux...help

Question hmm

while those links are good they are not hard to find what is giving me trouble is that I cant seam to get any thing to boot and I need t o know how to get the lap top to recognize the external as a boot-able drive. Normally i would take your advice and sit down and read through that stuff but as it is I am working 12 hours a day 7days a week. any short cuts?

I don't know any shortcuts. You have the laptop and other networked computers and persumably know their setups, I don't.

The link I listed gives the installation methods you can choose.

Read through it and see which situation fits you.

After choosing a method and trying it, then is the time to ask a question.

How to get good answers with your questions about Linux
