Hi there.

I just don't know whats next here...do you have anything under /proc/acpi?

And...what does your boot.msg/messages file say about CPU cpufreq?

Mine says:kernel: cpufreq: Intel(R) SpeedStep(TM) for this chipset

Which I've never understood, because according to the kernel config, Pentium P4 chip is supported!

Schnitzel - what kind of processor do you have?
Is it an AMD?

If so, type
lsmod|grep power

Are there any powernow modules loaded?
