problems syncing my sharp zaurus sl5500 with XP pro

ok, I've been trying to sync my new zaurus sl-5500 (with the latest version of OZ) to my XP pro box for about a week now and it's killing me. I can ping the zaurus, but when I try to ssh to the dropbear server (using putty) it says the connection is refused. I've messed around with the securty settings on the zaurus to allow 'any' to connect...But it still doesn't work. Also if I use Qtopia to try and sync the address book, it says the connection timed out.

I've got a feeling it must be something quite simple. But I'm baffled. If anyone has any ideas please fire away.

Huge thanks in advance to anyone who replies..........

Honestly, I'm not really sure how to help. Gathering from the fact that you can ping it, I'm assuming you've got you USB networking setup correctly. Under Linux, I can get into mine(via ssh). I have yet to figure out how to sync. I don't think OZ and Qtopia will sync, you may need some other program on your Z to sync with Qtopia. If you haven't already, go to www.oesf.org/forums. It is a site dedicated to the Zaurus, and a lot of your questions will be able to be asnwered there as well.

So far i've managed to get it hooked up to my nix box, it was the easiest thing in the world. But windows is a hole new ball game, and to tell you the truth I can't be bothered. Like you, as long as I can up/download files onto it i'm not bothered, and if it''s on nix all the better.

thanks for the reply ...

I've just a few more questions.......................

I'm trying to install some programs onto my cf card, but I reealised I need the cf slot for the wifi card. My zaurus has 64mb of ram, I was wondering is there any way to install the programs to the zaurus internal storage.

I tried this:
ipkg -d ram install xxxx.ipk But ti says it's full........

I'm actually fairly confused as to what to do...........Do I need to get a SD card to carry this out?

Also.............

If I install a package to CF is there anyway so I don't have to cd to the CF directory that the program's in to execute it?

Also what is the piont in linking the packages it seems piontless to me.

thnx
