problem with display on hp-dv2519 on centos


I had installed centos-5 on my hp-dv2519 notebook.unable to get the display.i used syatem-config-display.it asked me for the type of display.
I didn't know the display type.

u use ati, nvidia or intel?
if you just want to have a display so you can setup the server, use vesa driver.

I am using intel corp mobile graphic card.

VESA driver supports intel?

vesa for all driver. all display card manufacturer must support this driver, but the rentering process using cpu rather than gpu from display card.

since you use centos(which is lack of many community packages), I affraid you don't have intel display card driver. Try to search whether you can find i810 display driver, if no then run you laptop with vesa driver. Then google how to install i810 display card driver in centos.
