Kernel 2.6.8, Mandrake, and SuSe also tested.
PCMCIA WLAN card lock system when inserted. Tried what the PCMCIA howto said, except the stuff with the memory, because I really don't understand what they're saying. Or anything. I have no more clues or ideas. Frankly, I'm sick of it.

Anyone have any last tips or hints?

Any clues?

What card are you using? What laptop? I had a similar problem on one type of laptop untill I excluded irq 4 in /etc/pcmcia/config.opts (in Slackware), for example, because that IRQ was used by the soundcard. Others probably know more about this sort of thing, but in my experience much depends on the specific hardware you have.
