Patching a 2.6 kernel with a 2.4 kernel keyboard driver..possible?

Hey i have a very weird problem with my laptop , an ASUS L3S P4 2.0GHz , i'm using SUSE 9.1 which came with a 2.6 kernel but everything works fine except my laptop keyboard , which is not detected at all.(Currently typing on my USB keyboard). I used distros with 2.4 kernels and it worked so i installed a 2.4 kernel on my machine. Then the keyboard worked but ethernet and sound didn't, So i want to know if it is possible to patch my 2.6 kernel with only the keyboard related kernel modules of a 2.4 kernel ?

Thanx in advance
Dylan

Are you sure the same module is not available in 2.6.x?
Usually the kernel guys don't drop drivers, but SuSE also
ships with modified kernels, so that may be the issue.

Agreed; try installing a plain 2.6 kernel from www.kernel.org
