need help regarding battery status


hai to all

i am using toshiba l305 laptop ,and i have installed fedora 11 with gnome desktop , i can able to see battery remaining status in gnome-power-manager .but my question is that i want to check my battery status by command in the terminal,
any ideas will help me

Hey asifbasha,

Try 'yum install acpitool' then 'acpitool'

take a look in
/proc/acpi/*

You can use cat to see the info

yum install acpitool

an example:-

[jayeola@acid ~]$ acpitool --battery

Capacity loss : 8.422%
