a: yes
b: yes, it says driver loaded, hardware present
c: yes wlan0 is listed there...
my wlan is not encrypted, but protected by a mac lock, and essid is hidden. i try and try and try to set it up, and it just wont work :'(
i can scan fine, and i can find the ap's, and if i put in an essid, it can even show my ap with it's hidden essid. i can connect to the router, because you can see open connections if i log onto my router. Strange thing is though, that the router says my pc is running 11g?
But apparently everything works fine, i just can't get online :S
Okay so does /sbin/ifconfig wlan0
show you an valid IP Address?
Then check the /etc/resolve.conf
for a line called nameserver = <IPADDRESS of your Router>
And also try /sbin/iwconfig wlan0
... and are you sure that you applied the correct MAC Address of your WLAN Card to the router?

Shows no ip at all... the nameserver = is already set, and the iwconfig shows my essid and so on :S but no inet but a inet6 :S
found a way to solve it, just use aticonfig :P
and now i am using the opensource driver (radeon), simply by changing the fglrx driver out with radeon
regarding my netcard, a friend of mine found a guid for it on ubuntu forums http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=132980 <--- it works :P
