--> Initializing modem.
--> Sending: ATZ

--> Sending: ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0

--> Modem initialized.
--> Sending: ATDT*99***1#
--> Waiting for carrier.

--> Using interface ppp0
--> pppd: `[06][07][08][10][06][07][08]
--> pppd: `[06][07][08][10][06][07][08]
--> pppd: `[06][07][08][10][06][07][08]
--> pppd: `[06][07][08][10][06][07][08]
--> pppd: `[06][07][08][10][06][07][08]
--> local IP address 41.5.191.191
--> pppd: `[06][07][08][10][06][07][08]
--> remote IP address 10.0.0.1
--> pppd: `[06][07][08][10][06][07][08]
--> primary DNS address 196.207.40.167
--> pppd: `[06][07][08][10][06][07][08]
--> secondary DNS address 196.207.40.165
--> pppd: `[06][07][08][10][06][07][08]
It seems like I am connected and the dongle shows an indicator light to confirm this but I cannot get a web page like google. Is there something missing here?
Any clues or pointers welcome!!

Open another terminal and type

#ifconfig

And check that ppp0 is connected.

Check your browser settings if the browser is unable to load pages.
