Mi Desktop Environment
I've been a Linux user for about two years now, and I recently purchased an HP Mini 110 netbook with the Linux-based Mi OS. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to change the desktop environment. I'm happy with the OS, but am looking for a way to customize the desktop environment (BG images, taskbar layout, etc)
If there is absolutely no way to do this, then I can just live with it or install a new OS, but I'd just like to know if anyone here has had experience with Mi and could give me some pointers on customization.
I would not bother with the Mi OS. This does not sound like "Real Linux" to me. It's probably just rebranded CentOS or (less likely) SLES or (perhaps?) Ubuntu, but regardless, you might as well just install something fresh and clean on there that you can easily identify and take ownership of -- and it'll be easier to get questions answered if you're using a distro with a large community.
