Welcome to LinuxQuestions. Redhat 8.0 is very old and will not have support for newer hardware. If you want to stay with a Redhat then go with Fedora. This might fix your problems.

Just to be clear: Sometimes it boots OK and sometimes not?

give us all the details you can about exactly what happens.

If you don't find the issue quickly, consider installing a more modern distro---RedHat 8 is very obsolete. If you like RedHat, then try Fedora 5 or 6.
