Linux distro on Acer Aspire 3680

Hello everyone, I have an Acer aspire 3680 with 2GB of Ram. It works really well with Tahrpup 6.0.2 and is really fast, but I have concerns when it comes to the computer being permanently in root by default, so I'm looking for another lightweight distro that is like puppy linux. What I'm mostly looking for is that the distro can be loaded and run entirely from ram, which is what makes puppy so fast. Any recommendations are appreciated.
Also, sorry if this isn't the correct place to post this, I didn't know where else to ask for a recommendation.

For distros that run entirely from RAM I recommend to look at Tinycore and, my favorite for this type of distro, SliTaz.
