Unhappy keyboard does nor respond @installation (debian 3.1r1 @ sony vaio pcgk25 )

I'm trying to install Debian 3.1 release 1 from the DVD set.
After the main menu, where you may choose the installation options, after pressing ENTER, o entering in expert installation mode, the keyboard does not respond, and the systems seems to be idle.
My laptop is a sony vaio pcg-k25, I am trying to boot from the DVD. My hardware Pentium 4 - 2.8Ghz. 512MB RAM. 60GB HD.

I just don't know what to do. For your installation help THANKS.

Sorry I solved it myself. I just typed the following options:
linux debian-installer/probe/usb=false
Any way, thank you, I know you all are so kind.
