k3b & combo, they don't work very well...

Hi everyone, i've a problem:
i've an Acer Travelmate 420LC with a combo drive...
When i launch k3b from user it don't let me write becouse it sees my DVD-CDrw as a general SCSI reader...

And also if i run it as root it wouldn't recognize that cd is empty and ask me to force to write process..

Trinity:/home/ecataldi # cdrecord --scanbus
Cdrecord 2.0 (i686-suse-linux) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 Jörg Schilling
Linux sg driver version: 3.1.24
Using libscg version 'schily-0.7'
cdrecord: Warning: using inofficial libscg transport code version (okir@suse.de-scsi-linux-sg.c-1.75-resmgr-patch '@(#)scsi-linux-sg.c 1.75 02/10/21 Copyright 1997 J. Schilling').

my fstab is this:

Trinity:/home/ecataldi # cat /etc/fstab
/dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder auto rw,noauto,user,exec 0 0
/dev/cdrom /media/cdrom auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0
/dev/dvd /media/dvd auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0

all af these 3 devices are symbolic links to /dev/sr0, 'couse i'd like to have one to read dvd, one with read only access and another to burn cd... Is this the problem??

This is my /dev/sr0 device, the owner group is cdrec why at the setup i choose that name for the group

brw-rw---- 1 root cdrec 11, 0 2003-03-14 14:07 /dev/sr0

And when i start k3b i get a lot of errors...
i'll post those that i think are more importants..:
