just installed ubuntu 9.10 on laptop wirless will not work
I have an ACER Aspire 3000, just downloaded Ubuntu 9.10 and wireless does not work. I downloaded the driver. it said to use fwcutter to unzip. how do I do this.
That NIC has been known to cause problems under Ubuntu (and probably other distros too). Have a look at this thread here on LQ starting at post 88. All steps are included from start to finish.
