Internet connection through madwifi.

I downloaded Madwifi for my Laptop and tried to install it. When i executed the make, i got the following errors.

Quote:
/bin/sh: line 0: cd: /lib/modules/2.6.18-8.el5/build: No such file or directory
Makefile.inc:66: *** /lib/modules/2.6.18-8.el5/build is missing, please set KERNELPATH. Stop.
I found that we need to have kernal source for this, so downloaded it and then tried to install the rpm. Again got this error, i am not sure whats wrong!

rpm -i kernel-2.6.18-8.el5.src.rpm

Quote:
warning: kernel-2.6.18-8.el5.src.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 37017186
error: cannot create %sourcedir /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES

You need to install kernel-devel-2.6.18.el5.rpm. If stock installed kernel then it is on the cd. What you installed was the source to build the kernel rpm. Also did you run the rpm as root or user?
