incomplete installation

i really can't understand why when i try to install a mdk 9.1 distro on my notebook i am asked to insert only the first disk, even if doing so some important packages (e.g. kppp) were not installed.
how can i make a complete installation or how can i understand wich pacages is installed and wich is not?

There should be a complete install option. Since there are so many possible intalls on the cd the chances are that the other cds are used for the server packages. I believe that you can choose to install individual packages on install. But the caveat on that is that it is risky, I did it once and woulnd up without a lot of librabries.
