HP tx2140 Tablet Touchscreen Challenge...

Hallo !

Well, I recently bought a Tablet laptop (Hp tx2140) but I can't get the pen and touchscreen work ! I have Mandriva 2008 Spring x86 (kernel 2.6.24.5-desktop586) installed and I've tried several things but with no success (e.g: install the Wacom drivers) !

The Wacom usb device seems to be recognized by Mandriva, but it is not functioning at all.

Please if you could give a hand in this...

Thanks in advance
Stavros

Well I've had some progress. I tried the linus kernel and I got a response at least. The problem now is that when I touch the screen with the pen the mouse pointer goes to the right side of the screen bouncing up and down no matter how I move the pen...

I tried: modprobe -r usbmouse and the pen stopped working even though the wacom module was loaded !

Do you have an idea maybe ???
