That's what I'd recommend. I'm running Ubuntu 4.10 (Warty Warthog) on an HP Pavilion zv5320 and everything works great. I still have a few touchpad issues, but nothing serious. See my review of the zv5320 over in the HCL section for the details.

Good Luck!

i would love to try ubuntu linux. Before giving up i would like to try one last try with suse 9.2 installation. I am just waiting if some body can help me out with my existing OS
What i observered is
1) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 127.0.0.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.112 ms
64 bytes from 127.0.0.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.074 ms
-- 127.0.0.1 ping statistics ---
45 packets transmitted, 45 received, 0% packet loss, time 44001ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.072/0.077/0.112/0.015 ms

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS.
I THINK 127.0.0.1 IS THE LOOP BACK ADDRESS.

In case i want to laod ubuntu linux then again i have to use ndiswrapper trying to get wireless working. and i have read that ubunto does not have root login. So how will it affect the installation.

Many distros come with ndiswrapper. If you want to use the latest version, which is generally a good idea, then you must un-install that distro's version first. I'd avoid SuSE *mumbles something unintelligible about Novell and lack of a package managing system.* If you really want to follow my footsteps, install Gentoo. The install is tough, but well-documented. hp pavilion zv5000 HOW TO Here is a howto I wrote for the zv5000 for gentoo.

I've got little experience with SuSE, after getting pissed at 9.1 personal for a lack of a compiler (a much needed utility for any linux distro.) Can he uninstall ndiswrapper via YaST? Better yet, go install ubuntu linux; a lot of people really like it, a lot. Moreover, it looks like your SuSE setup has SMP support, which ndiswrapper really does not get along with too well.

Don't worry, aerork, I'll get you through this.

I had the same issues istalling my broadcom on an hp4560us.
The invalid format is because SuSE has a ndiswrapper already in it.
I had to remove ndiswrapper first, then issue - locate ndiswrapper from the terminal and delete all instances of ndiswrapper, second issue - where is ndiswrapper and delete all instances. Re-install ndiswrapper.
