Many distros come with ndiswrapper. If you want to use the latest version, which is generally a good idea, then you must un-install that distro's version first. I'd avoid SuSE *mumbles something unintelligible about Novell and lack of a package managing system.* If you really want to follow my footsteps, install Gentoo. The install is tough, but well-documented.

I've got little experience with SuSE, after getting pissed at 9.1 personal for a lack of a compiler (a much needed utility for any linux distro.) Can he uninstall ndiswrapper via YaST? Better yet, go install ubuntu linux; a lot of people really like it, a lot. Moreover, it looks like your SuSE setup has SMP support, which ndiswrapper really does not get along with too well.
