I got a used netbook at a thrift store but it’s locked with a username and password which I obviously don’t have. Is it possible to factory reset it? It’s a Sylvania gnet 13001.

Reason: Adding information
I am not familiar with this netbook nor its operating system but gOS was based on Ubuntu. I don't know if a factory reset is possible but since gOS is discontinued it would not make sense since you probably would not find much help if you had problems. The netbook uses an ATOM processor which is a 32 bit CPU.
I would guess the netbook would boot from a USB flash drive and therefore you could install a current lightweight distribution like mx14. Others might have a better solution.
I sure did like gOS. Thought it was a neat distro.
Well, you can reset password maybe. It's easy to read up on how to reset admin(root) password linux. Guess it is possible that you will then have to reset the user. Seems to me it had you go into a user and not admin.
https://archiveos.org/gos/ go there if you want to use the original OS on it. Create cd and boot then install.
As above there are plenty of choices. Might look at 4Mlinux.
