Well today my 15 month old daughter poured a cup of coffee on my Aspire One netbook. Now it won't work. Oh well, I have been wanting to buy a new laptop with more power and more up-to-date anyway.
I have been looking at System 76 laptops. I would like to support a company that supports Linux. But I have not heard anything from anyone that has actually bought any of their computers. Are they any good?
While I am shopping around, any other good suggestions for a laptop that is good quality and obviously works well with Linux?

Edit: of course you will have to install the distro of your choice instead of having Linux pre-installed
That is not a problem. I have been doing that for ... like 10 years now. lol Having Linux pre-installed isn't all that necessary, but it would be a nice plus.
System 76's prices seem pretty competitive. That is not to say that you can't find better deals on other laptops else where. But for a new computer, and one that you can customize, their prices seem to be pretty good.
From the reviews I found searching online people seem pretty happy with them. The complaints the reviewers had were usually nothing to do with System 76.
What do you make with Ubuntu?
Tweet #ubuntu76 now until June 29

Not that I'm in the market for a new laptop, having just accidentally bought a new one not but 2 weeks ago. But I got that email from them...Friday or Saturday. So might be something to check out.
As far as my opinion of them, they're a good company, and they do release SOME quality equipment. The major issue is that the models I like tend to not stay around long, because I can't use a sub-1080P monitor, and most of their models are sub 1080P. Currently however their Lemur 14" has a 1080P, so I very much wouldn't mind getting it if I needed something.
