GRUB geom error


I have installed SUSE personal 9.1 onto my IBM thinkpad R40, but encounter "GRUB geom error" upon booting up.

I have read through some suggestion, and suggested that i need to update my bios.
How do i update my bios w/o getting into window??

Whay should i do??

You do not normally need to update your bios, nor do you need windows. Usually you will have to edit your HDD configuration in the CMOS setting under BIOS.
