Will get a blank cd to burn and see if works. Right now, using ubuntu on desktop which obviously works. Trying to link Sony walkman to it and wine is not working. Googled it for answers regarding sony walkman without wine, but no dice.

What model of laptop & have you double checked in bios that cd or dvd is set to boot 1st?
