Exclamation Glitched display on AntiX-M11 with mobile ATI RAGE

I'm having this weird issue, after trying DSL on an old TTX netbook (PIII @ 800Mhz W/ 128MB of RAM) without any problem. After realizing it was outdated I booted a live CD of AntiX-M11 (Full Version). The issue is: the damn thing is super slow to load AND when I reach the desktop, the display is all glitched. The desktop is all duplicated at some weird spots making it impossible to see large programs correctly as half of the desktop is merely a replica of What I actually see on the left side, everything being separated by a line of artifacts. I tried booting without video drivers, same issue. I know it's not the GPU since it works perfectly under windows and I booted from a VM on my main rig and it works like a charm. Any ideas?

I gave up anyways. This laptop might have some faulty RAM preventing me from installing anything on it. Even my net server E60 wouldn't boot because of an "Not enough space" error. Meh I was using 7.5GB out of 40GB. I'll just take out my P4s and install linux and do a dual boot XP ubuntu on my main laptop.
