Getting error while installing FTP server in RHEL6
[root@localhost ~]# yum install vsftpd* -y
Loaded plugins: product-id, refresh-packagekit, subscription-manager
Updating Red Hat repositories.

No package vsftpd* available.
Error: Nothing to do

What are you actually aiming to do? FTP is insecure and will be hard to configure and even harder to work through the firewall even in passive mode. If you would like to upload files securely there is SFTP instead and that is built into OpenSSH-server, so you probably already have it running.

I am still learning the course and now practicing the servers to config in my laptop. So when i am trying to install in RHEL6 it is showing error like as previously mentioned. So please let me help anyone
