Freezing on login screen after installing Nvidia drivers
Hi. Years ago when doing a dual boot on my Toshiba laptop I had a similar issue and got it solved with a code I had to insert in the grub that sorted the runtime issue I had.
Now I'm using a flash drive to run my Linux distro from. Once again it's mint cinnamon and I'm having the same issue. Unfortunately I can't find that post from 2018.
Linux works perfectly until I load my Nvidia drivers. It asks me to restart and everything goes well until my PC freezes an the login page .
I am still a newbie where Linux code is concerned. I know there is info I need to post here however I can't remember the commands. So if you would be so kind as to assist me with this I will gladly do as directed. I know it's a runtime conflict between Linux start-up and my Nvidia drivers. I know delaying the one will solve the problem however how would I go about doing it and what is the code or command to do so? Please help. I ran mint 18 successfully for years till a friend thought they would surprise me for my birthday by installing the newest mint and now the nightmare I face once more.
