Fedora Core 3 shutdown and reboot

Hi all,
I've an issue with my Laptop Aopen 1545.
When I shutdown the system (fedora core 3) it automatically reboot....WHY?
How can I fix this 'bug'?

hi there

how do u shutdown ur systen
from the option of ur display manager or though shell

try
shutdown -h now

Hi, thanks for your answer,
I've try to shutdown with 'shutdown -h now' (logged as root) but it reboot.....

(sorry for my bad english but I'm italian..)

hi there

so when u shutdown ur system then what message do u get
like "switching to runlevel etc etc"

also what runlevels do u have in ur /etc/inittab
