Fedora 9 won´t boot kernel on Bion notebook PC

I´ve been trying to run the Fedora 9 KDE-live-i686 distro on my new Bion notebook. I get the opening menu and have successfully run memtest. However, after loading vmlinuz0 and initrd0.img and decompressing linux it hangs when trying to boot the kernel.

Any suggestions?

Kernel alive!

Thanks for your suggestion, which I followed.
Unfortunately, it still hangs when trying to boot the kernel. However this time it also gives the message: "Kernel alive".

I´d be grateful for any further suggestions.

change sata settings to ahci in bios

text mode?

try boot time kernel parameters for sata, resolution=1280x1024,

remove 'quiet' and take a look at the exact messages

"nosmp" works but...

I tried different boot time kernel parameters and "nosmp" gets the kernel to boot. I get the login prompt but am unable to start or configure Xorg.

I wasn´t able to change sata settings in bios.

I get messages:

Failed to load module "intelmaster" (module does not exist)
Failed to load module "intelbatchbuffer" (module does not exist)
open /dev/fb0: no such fike or directory

Fatal server error: caught signal 11. Server aborting
Aborted

and:

hpet_acpi_add: no address or irqs in _CRS

and:

Buffer I/O error on device sda.

Thank you.

Thumbs up Success!

"Nosmp" works with the i686 as well.

I finally managed to get xserver working by
"system-config-display --reconfig"

And I´ve now installed Fedora 9 x86_64 on the notebook. Next step is to get all the hardware working properly.

Thnaks to Amani and Soppy for their help.
