Fedora 7 on Laptop


Hello

I installed fedora 7 on my laptop Acer 5573 .But the os didnot detect my sound card and now i cannot hear sound on my system.

But it is working in windows. And i have i more doubt how i can create a dial up connection in fedors 7

One more thing i would like to know compatabilty of fedora 7 on laptops

pls mail me

Hi

As far as sound is concerned try in terminal as root alsaconf (maybe alsaconfig) and follow the instructions.

As far as dialup connection is concerned I cant remember. Maybe someone else will help.

To make a dialup connection it helps to know what modem is fitted in your laptop.

You can find this information by typing the following in a terminal:

lspci

Post back the output and we can take it from there
