FC3 - Thinkpad 600 LCD

Hello gents, I just got my old TP600 up and running again and installed FC3 on it without a sweat (95min)

Anyhow, I have come across a slight issue with display settings. At boot it likes to set itself to 640x360. After I log into X I can only change between 800x600 or 640x360 and have a black border around the bottom and right corner of the LCD while the screen fits snugly to the top and left corners.

I attempted to resolve the issue by manually changing the settings within xorg.conf to 1024x768 but to no luck.

FC3 settings as of now:
VC/ NeoMagic MagicGraph 128XD (NM2160)
MT/ LCD Panel 1024x768...

I attempted switching to vesa but still have no option to set the display to 1024x768, just the default 800x600 or 640x320 options.

Ok, think i solved (stubbled upon) the fix. Instead of using the vesa driver which also appeard to display identical issues then the default drivers I opted for the unsupported vesa compatible drivers. My eyes popped out of the sockets after I logged in.. these unsupported drivers gave me a screen of 320x (something like that). I logged back out and manually edited xorg.conf and only replaced entries shown here and left the rest alone:

Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "vesa"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "VESA driver (generic)"

I am not sure why it did not set the initial time, but now I have all the options from 8-24bit from 640x320 - 1024x768.. Bit strange...
