Have XP on a Toahiba laptop. Want to keep it for the spouse to use (she has not converted yet but I'm hopeful). Would like to use FC2 since I've used various versions of RH for several years. Have not tried to dual boot this laptop and am aware of the FC2 and XP problems. see

However, I don't know how to downsize the existing XP partition to make room for FC2. What utility should I use? Can the repartitioning be down with some existing Linux utility?
Can I blow XP away and install FC2, leaving room for XP or should I use something to downsize the existing XP partition? I do not have anything like Partition Magic.
Incidentally my hda parameters as reported by fdisk -l /dev/hda are
C = 3,648, H = 255, and S = 63.
The link above says one then uses an example command
linux hda=14593,255,63
I assume mine would be
linuz hda=3648,255,63
Thanks in advance.
