External USB keyboard
I recently installed Suse 9.3 on my Dell D610, and everything works well so far. But now I want to use an external USB keyboard because the laptop keyboard (like all laptop keyboards) *sucks*. I've attached the USB keyboard and rebooted, and the keyboard works in GRUB. But when I get into X it no longer works.
I googled quite a bit, and my impression now is that X simply doesn't support multiple keyboards. Surely this must be a problem other laptop owners have faced? As a possible solution I imagine I could have two different versions of xorg.conf, one for the normal situtation where I use the external keyboard, and one for the more unusual situation when I need to use the blasted laptop keyboard. But I simply don't know what to enter in xorg.conf to make X use the external USB keyboard instead of the laptop keyboard, anyone who knows?
