i am currently installing Ubuntu (7.10) from a cd onto a Fujitsu Amilo PI2515 laptop and it seems to be having trouble in g-Parted, resizing a partition.
i also noticed that it wouldn't intimidatley enable extra or even normal desktop effects.
and its not recognizing and wireless networks when im sat next to the router that 2 other computers (both on ubuntu) are running off fine

after its instaled should i expect it all to be fine?
is there some terminal code that can fix this all for me?
or will i have to live with vista for the rest of my computers life?

I dont think thats exactly the answer to my problems.
the live cd is working and im sure it'll install. i just need to know if i'll have to install drivers or somthing
