Dell Precision 7710 With Dock and external monitors no video Fedora 25

I have an old Dell 6600 that works fine while docked with 2 external monitors. I bought a new 7710 with NVIDIA Quadro M4000 but if I dock it into the Dell E-Dock then no video happens after the BIOS screen. As soon as GRUB starts booting all the screens go blank and nothing shows up. No video on laptop screen or either External monitor.

$ lspci | grep -i vga
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM204GLM [Quadro M4000M] (rev a1)

External monitors are Samsung 4K monitors. This laptop is supposed to support 2 external 4k Monitors (and does if I boot Windows 10). What can I do to resolve this? Any ideas.
I've tried both Display Port and DVI to Display Port cables from the back of the Dell E-Dock.

GNOME Details shows this for Graphics: Gallium 0.4 on NV124

Please help, I'd actually like to use this new laptop.

May I suggest you have a look here:

Have you got Bumblebee install? From what I can see on the Dell site that system has two graphics cards.
Have a look at Video and Laptop config sections. There may be ( and probably is more useful information there.

Hello Jlove130, I own a Dell Precision 5510 with NVidia Quadro M1000M GPU. I think my 5510 is similar in many ways to your 7710.

Like you, I am a Fedora user. I had good luck following this wiki guide to get my graphics working correctly: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bumblebee

Unfortunately I cannot answer your specific question about the "Dell E dock" because I don't own one. However, I do see that Dell offers Ubuntu Linux as a preinstalled option on the 7710. So I would think Dell support would have some expertise answering questions about the Linux compatibility of their peripherals/accessories for the Precision line. I have observed that external monitors do NOT work with my inexpensive Dell 470-ABQN USB-C "dongle," even after following the wiki instructions I linked to above. Linux can "see" the brand and model number of the monitor, but it does not appear in the display settings.

For what it's worth, I purchased my 5510 with Ubuntu Linux preinstalled, and as far as I could tell, there were no factory-installed NVidia drivers whatsoever--the system was configured to use only the integrated Intel 530.

Good luck and please report back if you make any progress!
